Permanent Cosmetic Enhancement
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to snooze a little longer in the morning instead of standing in front of a mirror applying make-up? Have you ever thought how nice it would be to not have to worry if your eye make-up has smudged or your lipstick is gone? If so, keep reading. The answer may be closer and easier than you ever imagined!
Permanent Cosmetic Enhancement or micropigmentation has many benefits. The most popular among these are:
Wake up with makeup.
Great for people with allergies to regular makeup.
Saves money over time by not having to buy makeup, including those expensive mistakes that looked right in the store but not on your face.
Great for people with vision problems that can't see well enough to apply.
Swim, shower, cry, sweat.....it doesn't come off!
Micropigmentation is safe. It is a superficial procedure that deals with only the top few layers of your skin. It is only as deep as a graze and no scarring occurs. I use only the best American products and an allergy test is always performed before we begin.
Before you schedule your appointment for micropigmentation, we will meet to ensure that all of your questions are answered, perform an allergy test and discuss any medical conditions or medications you may be taking.
When I decided to add permanent cosmetic enhancement to my aesthetics practice I contacted Deb Long who is the owner and sole instructor at Advanced Educator School of Permanent Cosmetic Makeup. Deb has state and national certifications in permanent cosmetics and is licensed by the Illinois Department of Education. She is dedicated to providing the best education possible and worked 1:1 with me as I learned this skill, through hands on practice, under her guidance.

Permanent Make-Up
Frequently Asked Questions
What is permanent make-up?
This medically developed procedure is a method of implanting color pigmentation into the skin to create a lasting cosmetic effect.
Why use permanent make-up?
What can permanent make-up do for me?
Eyebrows: Permanent make-up will make the brows look fuller and more natural, and add the perfect balance to your face. You will never need to use brow pencil again! Permanent make up can be applied in the hair-stroke or solid technique.
Eyeliner: Eyeliner is applied in the lash line to enhance your eyelashes and to make your eyes stand out. You choose from a natural look to a dramatic look.
Lips and lip liner: Permanent lipstick and lip liner are available in almost any color. You can enhance the shape of your lips, enlarge or reduce the appearance of your lips. Colors can be custom blended to match your favorite lipstick.
How long does permanent make-up last?
The treatment is permanent. it will not wash off. However, it will soften with age, sun, skin peel, cleansing lotions and sometimes need to be re-touched in 10 to 15 years.
What colors are available?
Color selection today is unlimited. If you don't find a color on the color chart, a color can be custom blended to suit your needs.
How long does it take?
Most sessions take one to two hours. Eyebrow applications may take long...due to the design time. A retouch (which is included in the original fee) will take one half to one hour.
Does it hurt?
A topical numbing cream is applied. it is important that you do NOT use ann injection to numb the area as this will cause the pigment to migrate in the skin. Comfort levels vary from person to person.
Could I have an allergic reaction?
There is very little chance of an allergic reaction. THe pigments that are used are safe and approved for use on the face. A patch test is administered before proceeding.
Is it safe?
Yes. This procedure is done under strict sterilization rules.
