About Bobbi…..
For more than 25 years I’ve worked as a nurse in a variety of healthcare settings, from critical care to geriatrics and hospice. The longer I worked the more I came to realize the profound effect that stress has upon the body…..not only the physical and emotional stress felt by seriously ill patients but also the impact it has on their family and caregivers. It gave me a tremendous appreciation for the relationship between mind and body.
My growing interest in pain and symptom management prompted me back to school to earn a Master of Science degree in nursing and certification as a Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse. But as the regulations and paperwork of healthcare became more complex, I found myself longing to focus again on people…not paper. I had seen the power of the mind to control pain and I became very interested in hypnosis and guided imagery for its’ potential to help people make other positive, life-enhancing changes.
I decided to attend a 350-hour state licensed and internationally approved training program in Santa Fe, New Mexico and became certified as a clinical hypnotherapist by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners and the National Guild of Hypnotists. These organizations maintain the highest standards and are respected around the world, with members from over 20 countries. Since then I have earned additional certification in pain management, irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia and pediatric hypnosis.
Currently I use a variety of healing techniques along with hypnosis, including Emotional Freedom Technique and NLP. Clients also have the option of taking the Myers-Brigg Type Indicator so that their sessions can be individualized to their unique personality.
I am excited to be able to offer these effective tools so that you can eliminate fears, overcome addictive habits, reduce pain, heal painful memories or make any other life changes you might desire.
